Just Released: Obama’s Gun Ban List
Here it is, folks, and it is bad news. The framework for legislation is always laid, and the Democrats have the votes to pass anything they want to impose upon us. They really do not believe you need anything more than a brick to defend your home and family. Look at the list and see how many you own. Remember, it is registration, then confiscation. It has happened in the UK, in Australia, in Europe, in China, and what they have found is that for some reason the criminals do not turn in their weapons, but will know that you did.
Remember, the first step in establishing a dictatorship is to disarm the citizens.
Gun-ban list proposed. Slipping below the radar (or under the short-term memory cap), the Democrats have already leaked a gun-ban list, even under the Bush administration when they knew full well it had no chance of passage (HR 1022, 110th Congress). It serves as a framework for the new list the Brady’s plan to introduce shortly. I have an outline of the Brady’s current plans and targets of opportunity. It’s horrific. They’re going after the courts, regulatory agencies, firearms dealers and statutes in an all out effort to restrict we the people. They’ve made little mention of criminals. Now more than ever, attention to the entire Bill of Rights is critical. Gun bans will impact our freedoms under search and seizure, due process, confiscated property, states’ rights, free speech, right to assemble and more, in addition to the Second Amendment. The Democrats current gun-ban-list proposal (final list will be worse):

Attorney General gets carte blanche to ban guns at will: Under the proposal, the U.S. Attorney General can add any “semiautomatic rifle or shotgun originally designed for military or law enforcement use, or a firearm based on the design of such a firearm, that is not particularly suitable for sporting purposes, as determined by the Attorney General.”
Note that Obama’s pick for this office, Eric Holder, wrote a brief in the Heller case supporting the position that you have no right to have a working firearm in your own home. In making this determination, the bill says, “there shall be a rebuttable presumption that a firearm procured for use by the United States military or any law enforcement agency is not particularly suitable for sporting purposes, and a shall not be determined to be particularly suitable for sporting purposes solely because the firearm is suitable for use in a sporting event.” In plain English this means that ANY firearm ever obtained by federal officers or the military is not suitable for the public.
The last part is particularly clever, stating that a firearm doesn’t have a sporting purpose just because it can be used for sporting purpose — is that devious or what? And of course, “sporting purpose” is a rights infringement with no constitutional or historical support whatsoever, invented by domestic enemies of the right to keep and bear arms to further their cause of disarming the innocent.

Why do these people always try to say that if a gun is not purely for sporting use then it’s not protected by the second amendment? If anything a military arm should be even more protected than a sporting arm! Since “Militia” is also included in the Second Amendment wouldn’t that mean that arms that would be used in time of war would have special protection? Including, in my opinion anyway, machine guns, rockets and other arms capable of fighting a war?
I would think so as it was intended to protect the country from it’s own government if need be.
By Dr. Joseph Prince on March 30th, 2009 at 6:39 pm
This is contrary to the 2nd amendment, for good reason. Criminals love the Obama
Marxists but they hate the 2nd amendment rights because it allows private citizens to protect themselves. Remember to vote against any congressman who supports this restriction of our rights.
By Dr. Joseph K. Prince, Ph.D. MPH, ASCP. on March 31st, 2009 at 8:24 am
The founding fathers knew what they were doing when they installed the 2nd amendment to the constitution. Unfortunately, the current bunch of incompetents in the Federal govt. have no idea what they are doing. It has been well established, the more active the President and Congress, the greater the harm.
Citizens that are armed, can defend themselves, their families and their property. If you take away that right by denying them their arms, you increase the potential for the criminal to abuse society at will.
If you are a law abiding citizen, this is factual information you need to know. Criminals will continue to laugh at your efforts.
This info below just about says it all. Now I wont have to explain my guns and the use of them…
PEOPLE ASK WHY?
Why I Carry a Gun?
My old grandpa said to me son,’ there comes a time in every man’s life
when he stops bustin’ knuckles and starts bustin’ caps and usually it’s
when he becomes too old to take an ass whoopin’. I don’t carry a gun to
kill people. I carry a gun to keep from being killed.
I don’t carry a gun to scare people. I carry a gun because sometimes this
world is a very scary place.
I don’t carry a gun because I’m paranoid. I carry a gun because there are
real threats in the world.
I don’t carry a gun because I’m evil. I carry a gun because I have lived long enough to see the evil in the world.
I don’t carry a gun because I hate the government. I carry a gun because I
understand the limitations of government.
I don’t carry a gun because I’m angry. I carry a gun so that I don’t have to
spend the rest of my life hating myself for failing to be prepared.
I don’t carry a gun because I want to shoot someone. I carry a gun because
I want to die at a ripe old age in my bed, and not on a sidewalk somewhere
tomorrow afternoon or evening.
I don’t carry a gun because I’m a cowboy. I carry a gun because, when I die
and go to heaven, I want to be a cowboy.
I don’t carry a gun to make me feel like a man. I carry a gun because men know how to take care of themselves and the ones they love.
I don’t carry a gun because I feel inadequate. I carry a gun because unarmed and facing three armed thugs, I am inadequate.
I don’t carry a gun because I love it. I carry a gun because I love life and the people who make it meaningful to me.
Police Protection is an oxymoron. Free citizens must protect themselves. Police do not protect you from crime, they usually come too late and only investigate the crime after it happens and then call someone in to clean up the mess.
AS A FORENSIC SCIENTIST, PRACTICING TOXICOLOGY AND PATHOLOGY, I HAVE SEEN THE HORRIBLE RESULTS OF THOSE POOR INNOCENT PEOPLE WHO WERE UNABLE TO PROTECT THEMSELVES BECAUSE THE POLICE CANNOT ARRIVE UNTIL FIVE OR TEN MINUTES AFTER THE EVENT OCCURRED. PLEASE GOD, SEND SOME INTELLIGENCE TO THE IDIOTS IN D.C.

A LITTLE GUN HISTORY
In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
——————————
In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
——————————
Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.
——————————
China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated
——————————
Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
—- ————- ————-
Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
——————————
Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
—————————–
Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.
——————————
It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own Government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars.. The first year results are now in: List of 7 items:
Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2 percent.
Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent.
Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)!
In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent. Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not, and criminals still possess their guns!
While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.
There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the ELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort, and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns. The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove it.
You won’t see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.
Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens..
Take note my fellow Americans, before it’s too late!
The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson.
With guns, we are ‘citizens’. Without them, we are ’subjects’.
During WWII the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED!
If you value your freedom, please spread this anti-gun control message to all of your friends.

Do they really think we are just going to give up our GUNs? I spent too much money on the ones that I own. They can have them when I assume room temperature.
Of course too many people in this country will be willing to go down this road without putting up so much as an argument. Complacency at its best.

They realize this. We cook the food they eat, fix the toilets they clog and guard them while they sleep. We surround them.
If this is real, where did you find this out? What is your resource? What bill is being introduced? I realize all to well what they want, but even they know they lack the power to pull this off. How many millions of gun owners would put up a fight? So I don’t buy it. Sorry. I am more then willing to give you a chance if you only post your source. Where did this list come from? And please don’t say HR 1022 which was shot down in 2007.

Our current government is the very reason the founding fathers of our country put the 2nd ammendment, as well as the other ammendments, in the US Consitution. Our government currently does not give a hoot about you and me; they have their own agenda and that includeds the enslavement of the American people. Render us defenseless and we will be like clay in their hands. Without a weapon in my hand I am at the mercy of the government on the left and the criminals on the right. I don’t know about you, but I intend to keep a weapon in each hand.
By John V. Burns on May 7th, 2009 at 4:06 pm
As I recall only a small portion of the population supported the American break away from Great Britian during the 1770’s. Something like 18% of the total population. Something like only 10% of the total population actually took an active part in the revolt. This small percentage is what gave us this great county, the benefits of which we all enjoy.
Now, just 234 years later, out of a population of something like 300 million souls, 545 individuals are responsible to destrying it; that’s 1 president, 100 senators, 435 Congressmen and 9 Supreme Court Justices; 545 people that are resposible for all the problems we have in this country and the problems we are facing.
Perhaps it’s about time the small percentage rose again.

Bush Gardens,
Refer to the sites LISTED above and check the legislation on GovTrack.US which will give you the status of the bill.
By Orrie on May 11th, 2009 at 6:42 am
If any of this is true and it is implemented then we have a very big problem. 90 million Americans own firearms. Some will comply but I don’t think the rest will hand them over that easily. I hate to think of the outcome of a forced confiscation of firearms from law abiding citizens who believe the 2nd Amendment shall not be infringed. This is not good.

Apparently you hae not heard of the “action shooting sports.” This includes CAS, IDPA IPSC, USPSA and many more. I shoot many of these, as do hundreds of thousands of men, women, children and families (yes, families). I choose not to hunt, but choose to shoot competitively. There are more than a million people in all these shooting disciplines/sports worldwide (yes, worldwide). The Second Amendment says nothing about hunting, and for a very good reason (see the words “well regulated militia” in the relevant text). It does not say, “well regulated bunch of hunters.” Read the Federalist Papers as well as many of Jefferson’s writings. You will see that we have an obligation to ourselves and the free world to be competent shooters. Besides, it’s a barrel of fun for the whole family, and will nurture a sense of real responsibility and maturity in our kids. School massacres are not the result of responsible family gun ownership and use, but instead the result of the lack of it. Guns were not “politically incorrect” until dangerous and anti-Bill of Rights people specifically and intentionally made them that way.
The Second Amendment, and I do not mean anything at all about hunting, is what makes this nation the great bastion of free, kind and giving people that we always have been–particularly while laying down out lives and those of our children to save the rest of the gun-controlled world, and the atrocities that that naturally breeds/bred.

Do they not realize that if they take guns from Americans that only have them for hunting or protection that are hurting the honest people. The people who use them for harm will probably not turn them in. If they do manage to get them they will be brought in with the drugs black market and make more money for the criminals.
My son was raised around guns. Of course, they were where he couldn’t get to them and not loaded, shells kept seperately. His father took him to the shooting range at an early age. As soon as he was old enough I had him take a class on handling and shooting guns. He shot trap in high school, but he had to pass the test first. This test was a written test, all guns right down to musket and bow and arrow shooting. He never bothered them as the attraction wasn’t there. I think parents should take more responsibility for them in the house. Taking away guns from the citizens is not the answer.

47 months in-country, ‘63-’67. I’ve earned the rights that the 2nd Amendment gives me. People better get off their ass and let THEIR politician know how they feel. If you’re a pacifist, fine, let the rest of us do the job of protecting society from those who get past the police. Ask a cop how he feels about an “unarmed” general population. I already have.

This gun bill is absolute hypocrisy! Those who want to steal “domestic guns”, are the same ones who inflict “international, PRE-EMPTIVE WAR” on Iraq and Afghanistan with the most terrible weapons that fire depleted uranium bullets. The problem with the government attacking the Constitution is that it was designed to keep the government in check . We dont get our rights from the Constitution or any government . These rights we all hold so dear are God given rights at birth . The fact that the government has to follow rules is a result of a group of men (the founding fathers) got together and decided that after the war to get away from King George , they needed to limit governments ability to oppress the people . The government nowadays are trying to become King George . They know the Constitution is a blocking point to them . They know the 2nd amendment was put there to insure our government doesnt get out of hand . And if they do the American people can form a militia and replace the current government . I believe that is what is coming . I for one will be glad when it is over and hope and pray it doesnt come down to war with ourselves and those who dont understand the freedoms they are losing . Because it will be patriots against the ones defending the government . Sad but that is the bottom line . Sooner or later that is the way it will break down .

I completed my yearly qualification today, thanks to the local PD. To carry under Federal law as a retired peace officer this is necessary, although in itself is a violation of the 2nd Amendment. We discussed the current situation in America today and they realize they are targets also. Cops swear to protect and defend the Constitution just like politicians, however, most of them mean it. If it does come to attempted confiscation of guns I don’t believe it will be the police but government agent thugs or worse, the blue helmets of the UN. In either case, the officers I shot with today will have my back. Government had best remember that a large percentage of gun owners are military vets and fully understand that war is killing people and destroying property…and we are the best in the world at it. Also, you might stop to think why our military is placed around the world instead of being in America to protect us. Have any of you people even gone to the bill and looked at it. It is a ban on assault weapons. They are not going to come for your darned hunting rifle. And the bill is a renewal of a bill that has already been enacted. And the bill is from 2007- when hmmm, who was in charge…yes, I do believe the democrats were NOT entirely in charge.
After reading two or three sentences here from you people, I have to say some of you should NOT have guns, since you do not treat them with any bit of respect by threatening others.
Grow up people.
