Raised on a farm near Lake Charles, Louisiana, one of seven children. Attended McNeese State University where graduated in upper end of class with multiple majors in only three years.
Put self through both college and law school, graduating cum laude with a Juris Doctor from LSU Law School in 1973 and was inducted into the Order of The Coif, the world’s most prestigious honorary society for legal scholars and practitioners.
Served in U.S. Army in the Adjutant General Corps, discharged honorably as a Captain.
Has made new law by winning a number of landmark cases and was inducted into the LSU Law School’s Hall of Fame after only 14 years of practice.
Has been practicing for last 36 years as a trial and appellate lawyer and is still practicing in Shreveport, Louisiana, where his practice now focuses on tax issues.
In 1993 discovered that there is no law imposing liability for the income tax upon working Americans and spent two years investigating and exploring the reason for that omission and the means employed to create the illusion of liability.
After challenging the IRS with its misrepresentation of the law and misapplication of the income tax he was indicted for tax evasion. After a trial a jury returned a not guilty verdict, acquitting him of all counts.
